Yet another year comes along and yet another Y Dreamhome is built! Ai once again was pleased to get the invitation to setup and install the A\V system at the Dreamhome.
The day is Friday April 13th, 1 day before opening and the pressure is on us to make sure we install all three rooms, clean up and move out before the home opens tomorrow morning.

Our newest aquisition pictured above allows us to guarantee a level TV and level speakers everytime!

Multiple laser intersections allows us to hit a perfect alignment for speakers across the room. A rotatable laster platform makes for quick installation front and back with minimal measurement speeding installation and lowering costs.

We at Ai did not perform the pre-wire in this Dreamhome (we're hoping to do next years home) but we did perform the modifications required to connect the SMART Tv's and Theater system in the home.

This is the same wall space as above now with a larger cutout and enough ports to connect all your 5.1 surround sound system.

The Front channel speakers. Alignment is very critical both for visual and audible reasons.

A little cleanup later and the big room is almost finished! You can see one of our multi-position ladders here, this lets us access up-to 16' ceilings in a pinch.

This is about 9pm the evening before opening. Just collecting all the equipment back into one spot again.

At Ai, we understand what makes a Theater room unique and special, visual alignment is one of those key things. Many companies trust us with their display systems and networking systems, you can see some of our more visual installations at Wireless Wave, Opa and Blendz in Aberdeen Mall and Blendz in Downtown Kamloops.

About the Technology:
Smart TV
Smart TV, which is also sometimes referred to as "Connected TV" or "Hybrid TV", (not to be confused with IPTV, Internet TV, or with Web TV), is the phrase used to describe the current trend of integration of the internet and Web 2.0 features into modern television sets and set-top boxes, as well as the technological convergence between computers and these television sets / set-top boxes. These new devices most often also have a much higher focus on online interactive media, Internet TV, over-the-top content, as well as on-demand streaming media, and less focus on traditional broadcast media like previous generations of television sets and set-top boxes always have had. Similar to how the internet, web widgets, and software applications are integrated in modern smartphones, hence also the name ("Smart TV" akin to "Smart Phone").
The technology that enables Smart TVs is not only incorporated into television sets, but also devices such as set-top boxes, Blu-ray players, game consoles, hotel television systems, and other companion devices. These devices allow viewers to search and find videos, movies, photos and other content on the web, on a local cable TV channel, on a satellite TV channel, or stored on a local hard drive.
Blu-Ray
Blu-ray Disc (official abbreviation BD) is an optical disc storage medium designed to supersede the DVD format. The plastic disc is 120 mm in diameter and 1.2 mm thick, the same size as DVDs and CDs. Blu-ray Discs contain 25 GB[ambiguous] per layer, with dual layer discs (50 GB) being the norm for feature-length video discs. Triple layer discs (100 GB) and quadruple layers (128 GB) are available for BD-XL re-writer drives.
The major application of Blu-ray Discs is as a medium for video material such as feature films. Besides the hardware specifications, Blu-ray Disc is associated with a set of multimedia formats. Generally these formats allow for the video and audio to be stored with greater definition than on DVD.
1080p
1080p is the shorthand identification for a set of HDTV high-definition video modes that are characterized by 1080 horizontal lines of vertical resolution[1] and progressive scan, meaning the image is not interlaced as is the case with the 1080i display standard. The term assumes a widescreen aspect ratio of 16:9, implying a resolution of 1,920 pixels wide by 1,080 high. This resolution is similar to that of 2K digital cinema technology. The frame rate can be either implied by the context or specified after the letter 'p', such as 1080p30, meaning 30 progressive frames per second.
